How's my driving?

The rules of the game are as follows: comment to this post with a list of your characters. Other players will provide constructive criticism and positive feedback. You do the same because community is built on reciprocity, we are told.

While we would prefer everyone be honest and open with each other and we would hope you'd feel safe voicing concerns, anonymous commenting is permitted. However, moderators will be moderating; we don't have any marshmallows, so we don't want flames going on here. Wanking is forbidden. If you don't have anything nice to say, phrase what you do have to say politely.

That said, please don't post here if you don't feel able to handle constructive criticism. A well thought-out, helpful critique can be a wonderful thing and shows that people care. When you're critiquing others, try to be specific about what works and what doesn't, as that can be very useful for pinpointing what a player should keep and what a player should let go.

Commence!

Both Barbara and Kate are absolute joys!

I really love the dynamic that Irene and Barbara are already developing and I hope it continues on because they seem to mesh really well.

Kate is just... Well, I'm bias, because she is one of my favourite Angel characters, and I can hear her voice in my head when I read your tags. If that isn't doing it right, what is? :)

I know this isn't really critty but I wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying tagging with them both.

/BEAMS Thank you!

I'm loving it, too, and I'm really enjoying reading Irene.

And Alex, too! I'm not actually a big fan of A2A, at least what I've seen? But I'm quite fond of your Alex. I'm betting she and Kate will make an awesome team. *g*

Also, YOU HAVE AWESOME TASTE. And seriously that is the best compliment ever thank you. (This is probably because I have seen season one like five times.)

[identity profile] poshmouthytart.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
I'm so glad you feel that way! A2A can be a little hit or miss, but I'm really pleased that you are enjoying my Alex regardless. And yesss, I think she and Kate have such brilliant potential!

I'm still working my way through Buffy and the first season of Angel (trying to alternate episodes as I watch) but I LOVED Kate the moment she was introduced. But it's no secret I'm a sucker for cops. :3

I keep thinking I should give it another shot, and your Alex is a big part of it. Kate and Alex could be really good for each other, I think. :D

There is much joy and woe to come! Hee, it was love at first sight for me, too. *g* I share that weakness. Give a lady a badge I'm there. I think it's Olivia Benson's fault.

[identity profile] poshmouthytart.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
jgklagfjk that is... the best compliment ever. *squish* I am assuming you've seen Life on Mars, but if you haven't, I definitely suggest starting with that... I think it makes it easier to appreciate A2A. That being said, if you can manage, give it into s2... series 1 is a little rocky, and Alex's characterization evens out more in series 2 (read: she is less intolerably crazy.).

I agree with you on that! Although I think when I go to my roots the blame has to fall on Dana Scully... Damn those awesome copper women, paving the way for more to love. :D

[identity profile] shobogan.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
*squishes back!* ♥ I have, yes - which, come to think of it, is also RS's fault. (I still have issues with that finale. >:|) I may just skip to season two since I know how season one ends.

I never saw enough X-Files as a child, but Scully is indeed amazing. ...Oh god Scully and Mulder on the Plane.

[identity profile] poshmouthytart.livejournal.com 2010-10-28 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
To be fair, me even picking up Alex is partially the fault of the LoM cast back at a game I used to play at... Which, of course, turned out to be great because she's become such a part of my RP existence. And in that case, I'd say go ahead with series 2, then... It has a really strong opener and I think you'll get a good feel if you'll like the show right away. (As for the LoM finale, I love it and cried like a little baby. ;;)

X-Files was my LIFE as a kid. I actually play Monica Reyes in another game, and I know a fantastic Mulder. We... seriously need Mulder and Scully on the Plane omg. D:

I always love when Oliver and Barbara interact, and it's been great to see her around again! Also, I don't know Kate's canon, but that was an awesome thread with the Puppeteer. I really enjoyed it, and I'm glad you brought her in! At first I was like...this is not a good time to meet a new person for Oliver. But it wound up being really neat.

I don't really have any crits. Just looking forward to more interaction~

[identity profile] shobogan.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I love it too! Their friendship is so sweet. And I've had SO MUCH FUN in that thread. (...Kate is bluffing, by the way.)

Me too. *g* I still haven't read Oliver's stories but I'm very fond of him, and I love reading his relationships and development on the Plane.

Haha, but at least she's probably going to convince the Puppeteer to try to run because she's bluffing so well?

Aww, I'm really glad to hear that! He's been going through everything under the sun lately, and I'm wondering where it will all take him. But he has a lot of friends on the Plane, which has been an awesome way to help him through some of his issues, so I'm grateful to everyone else for that!

Awesome! o/ It's my tag, right? I have SO MANY TAGS ALL OVER it's hilarious. (And I'm thinking of apping another character, what is wrong with me.)

Hell yeah support networks! I really want to reach through the screen and hug him but Babs can do that. Even as a firey bat oracle spirit. ;p

It is, but I know you've got a lot going ^^; (...ooooh which one?)

Hahaha, he would be sort of creeped out as it came toward him, and then he'd be really grateful for the hug. Yay Babs!

ONE DAY. I shall get a better connection. ONE DAY. (Yes! I might use that very Steph, really. CHOICES ARE DIFFICULT.)

You know, in a strange slightly hilarious way. WHICH IS THE BEST KIND OF ADORABLE.
