How's my driving?

The rules of the game are as follows: comment to this post with a list of your characters. Other players will provide constructive criticism and positive feedback. You do the same because community is built on reciprocity, we are told.

While we would prefer everyone be honest and open with each other and we would hope you'd feel safe voicing concerns, anonymous commenting is permitted. However, moderators will be moderating; we don't have any marshmallows, so we don't want flames going on here. Wanking is forbidden. If you don't have anything nice to say, phrase what you do have to say politely.

That said, please don't post here if you don't feel able to handle constructive criticism. A well thought-out, helpful critique can be a wonderful thing and shows that people care. When you're critiquing others, try to be specific about what works and what doesn't, as that can be very useful for pinpointing what a player should keep and what a player should let go.

Commence!

Haaah, thanks. I'm gonna reread a teeny bit of the manga again though because after breezing through the anime I sort of forgot how to Daisuke. He doesn't feel like a main character to me anymore even though he is, so clearly I need to get him out more!

I'm glad you like Sirkka :3 She seems like a pretty minor character but there are a lot of subtle things that the authors put in that sorta... didn't become obvious until later on when Jack started screaming her face off. Ahaha. Anyway! That's intentional, what with the melding thing, because as an empath and a Freakangel she has a certain way of talking to people.

Sirkka conversing with someone like, say, Oliver, is like two things going on at once-- a normal conversation on the outside while laying out tarot in her head. She's almost always trying to sense people, and if there's something bothering them or piquing her interest she might tickle the topmost bit of memory to see what's up. She can't help doing this; it's part of what makes her such a good counselor lady, or at least she thinks so, and trying to turn it off would be like pretending she doesn't have permanent x-ray vision.

That's assuming they don't have shields. People who said ZETTAI DAME on her permissions meme or are blocked because they're psychics/time lords don't get the benefit of the card game, so she's pretty much feeling it out the hard way for that.

Sirkka hasn't been doing much digging at all though. It's invasive so I talk to people when I do it.

That's really interesting! And no, I think that's the thing: it's always fairly subtle (at least where I've seen it) which is I suppose to your credit (and hers), so I was never quite sure if I was misreading it or if there was something going on there truly. (Well, and then there's, like, with Nathan. Which is a whole 'nother story.) That's quite cool and an interestingly doubleness.

Sirkka is actually fairly sneaky about her abilities which is why fandom gets the wrong impression, I think. But yeah. There is /always/ something going on. :3

Oh god Nathan. ahahahaha alk;asdf she feels terrible about that and so she's /fetal right now. a;sa'd;f

Why did you remind me of that. Augh. It is a little dubious insofar as what is/isn't ethical but I don't think that the dubious implications are neglected. (And in the case of the fandom, they are apparently taken over the top. Seriously what.)

Secretly (or not so secretly) I'm laughing.

LOL SORRY. People are just dumb, forever and ever, and that's why I don't participate in fandom. The fandom for FA is made up of a bunch of British people who would rather talk about their lives on the comic discussion thread instead of discussing the comic itself. B|

It was pretty funny :|a but also terrible.
