But I must say I quite liked the turn they had with the Time War! Oh Ten, you hypocrite whore. You just can't be happy, sigh.

XD I liked it myself, it just screws with the headcanon I had already for Nine, wherein Romana was president and Eight was given the order by her to blow everything up. So idk if like Rassilon overthrew her or what. And I'm still not sure if that mysterious Time Lady was Romana or Flavia. :|

My headcanon is still basically fine. Indeed, the fact that the drums were created by the War (which I had called) makes it really easy to retcon their existence as something which was indeed retconned into existence, even if it would require hand-waving.

And headcanon for Master/Doctor interactions is slightly screwed up in that apparently I have had the Master resisting the Doctor's offers of "MARRY MEEEEE AND WE COULD BE HAPPYYYYYYY" far too much. That is certainly not what I expected. But! This did vaguely sanctify Torvic ("That's how the Master started") not to mention Gay Romping Through Fields On Gallifrey. It also proved that the Master and the Doctor still work well together even now (note that the Doctor knew the Master's plan before the Master even said it) and that the Master and the Doctor go out of their way to call each other stupid even at the most inopportune moments, and it proved something Kisha and I have often done with story-telling time, where, if they are Expositioning about Gallifrey at a third person, they'll split the story half-and-half without missing a beat.

AND I STILL DEMAND that the d3 version of events be "The Master's Epic Quest To Get Food." I want the story to end with him eating Gallifreyan-style pizza.

(The Master wants the story to end with him using Rassilon's hearts as pizza toppings. He wants to kill the next Founder he sees. That's why I'm not going to let him canon-update until he is absolutely sure he needs Omega.)

XDDD I thought the same thing about the drums. The retcon of Rassilon! I thought it was really interesting that they specified the Master was not around for the end of the War, too. So did he completely have no idea that Rassilon was President (I'd like to think so, by the look of wtf on his face)? Or did that start earlier on?

Ahah I am glad I was not the only one who thought that was totally a marriage proposal. And I totally concur with the rest. :|

All right, I did enjoy certain things, but I wanted the Time Lords to come back and not be like that! Gallifrey is Hell now, what?

I do have to say that my head canon for Straxus was screwed up in the first part and put back in place thanks to the second. And Romana is still President in my head canon, but Rassilon was a bastard and overthrew her.

But I do have to wonder about that smelling thing! Does that just go for the Master and Doctor or do the rest of the Time Lords have their own specific thing going on? (Or because they were the only two left at the time, it was easier to try? Ugh, I dunno.)

So my headcanon is slightly thrown through a loop for the moment as I try to gather up my thoughts again. As of right now I've been playing Romana from at the very beginning of the Time War (or the prologue to it) so it's not like I'll be canon-updating her anytime soon.

... but I would seriously love for it to be confirmed if that lady is Romana or not. I JUST WANT A SOLID "YES" BEFORE I GIVE INTO THE FIC IDEAS THAT ARE BOUNCING AROUND IN MY MIIIND. NEVERMIND, I read Wiki.
