Da Tian will be making a major move to wipe out Wolfgang and his associates once and for all. He will be staging a major takeover of the Plane, raising monsters and bending reality to aid him, and killing everyone who opposes him.

This plot has no opt-out.

the war.
War is ugly, and people will die.

The Plane, so recently returned to normal, will be absolutely infested with monsters. There will be murderous androgynous angels, SKELETONS, the murk-beasts that live in darkness, robots, and angry ice elementals. The elementals will be trying to level buildings if they see people run into them for shelter, so they should be taken care of ASAP.

Wolfgang will make a barrier to protect the kitchen and library, but that's it. He's going to be fighting over control of the Machine and fending off attacks along with Jhil, Roen, and Shaman.

Da Tian, unfortunately, has run everyone out of the shop and made it his base of operations. No one will be allowed into the shop for the duration of the plot as it's protected by a tangible shield that will sap the life of anyone who touches it.

This means that characters who die during the plot will be affected, but they won't be out of play; Jhil and Roen will be reviving them in the library.

There will be a lot of fighting. You can help each other out on the log that will go up, and request an NPC thread there. Non-combatants can help fortify the kitchen and library with supplies, help with first aid, etc.

The things that are not able to be handwaved, however...

Some people just have to be heroes.

On March 14th, Wolfgang will be organizing several teams of player characters to help dismantle Da Tian's chain of command. When that happens, his control over the Machine will be vulnerable, and Da Tian can finally be attacked.

Tian has three lieutenants to defeat before he will reveal himself. Characters cannot sign up for more than one lieutenant, but they can sign up for a lieutenant and Tian. The Tian party will be chosen randomly from signups if there are more than four interested. (Also, please don't sign up more than three characters if you play a billion. I don't want to overwhelm anyone.)

Players will be aided by some familiar faces in the battles as well.

timeline.

MARCH 7TH - Da Tian seizes control of the Plane and brings his army with him. There will be a mingle/battle post for this.

MARCH 8TH - OOC signups for the teams close.

MARCH 14TH - Wolf puts together several teams to shut down Tian's commanders. Players will be aided by Wolf's group.

MARCH 21ST - Da Tian confronted.

APRIL 4TH - Plot ends. All the monsters are defeated, Da Tian is dealt with, and the Plane is free. What this means for Wolf and his pals remains to be seen. RealityShifted transitions to an open musebox and characters are free to return home, visit other realities, live with friends long gone, etc.
